probably the 1940s (after WWII) and 1950s because society was settling down after the war, women were returning to their traditional roles and couples were having lots of babies. In addition, the economy was booming.

probably late depression era to just after depression...due to war ending...employment picked up...everyone happier, more fullfilled

i believe that society enjoyed more happily married couples after the second word war.it is because, they have high spirits after winning the war and they concentrated more on rebuilding the nation.job security ,high family moral values were given more importance.

1960 because they were starting to realize that your own happiness should come before you can be in a relationship with someone your going to hopefully be spending the rest of your life with.

The '50's for sure, because there was more stability, family and economics, and more societal acceptance and peer pressure.

Now. People are more open then in the past.

THE 50'S

Now because divorce is so obtainable that if your not happy you can get one therefore majority of the couples married should be at least reasonably happy

Late 1940s after the war and 1950s because people owned homes, had families, and the women stayed home with the kids. In the 1960s it all changed
